Where are you from?
I was born in Graham, TX, but raised in Cisco, TX. From middle school through graduation my family lived in Paradise, TX. We have settled in Fort Worth, TX and love it here.
Share a bit about family.
I married my husband on August 18th, 2012. We have two girls, Samara and Peyton. My husband and I both have a lot of siblings so family gatherings are so fun and full of crazy love.
What is one of your greatest joys of being a doula?
It is such a special thing to be allowed in a birth space. It brings me so much joy to watch a partner serve their wife. It brings me to tears often when I get to witness a partner show a mama such tender love and selflessly serve her as she labors and births her child.
What are a couple of your hobbies?
Reading, coffee with friends, lettering, watching my girls play and explore outside, and watching movies.
What makes you stand out as a doula?
I think my top two strengths set me apart. They are restorative and empathy. It comes naturally to me to empathize with others - to understand where people are at and what they're feeling. I enjoy meeting people where they are at. When you add to that restorative as a strength - I'd like to believe I'm good at figuring out a way to restore situations and things. I enjoy listening and understanding where people are and what they are needing. Then helping them get the information they need, and talking with them until they're happy with what is before them. It is so important to me that with each birth and postpartum season, you can walk away feeling peaceful and so fulfilled.
What is your vision/mission that gives your purpose?
I know what it is to have you what you dreamed of. And I know what it is to experience disappointment and pain. I so deeply desire that I can extend understanding and support to couples as they bring their babies earth side, and meet them wherever they're at.
What is something you wish all clients would know?
It is YOUR birth, no one else's. Whatever you need to feel empowered, informed, in control, and satisfied with your birth - that is what you need. And it is okay.
How did you come to join Little Lilacs?
I met Stacey at a training, and really liked her personality and take on things. So when I heard she might be looking to add people into Little Lilacs, I asked to meet with her and shortly after she added me to the team. I always knew I wanted to be a part of a team, and I couldn't dream up a team better than where I am now.

I have 5 siblings, and I'm the second oldest.
