Meet Stacey Ritter!
Little Lilacs was created to support women and their families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as they make their journey into parenthood. As a mother myself, I know having a child changes who you are, and I am honored to be part of this life-changing process.
My passion to become a doula began the day I found out I was pregnant. Although my husband and I were filled with excitement, we were also terrified. There was so much we didn’t know!
I began to read everything on pregnancy and birth, took extensive childbirth classes, and chose an amazing support group to help us have the birth we wanted. I had a normal, healthy pregnancy, but my labor and delivery was long and hard, which led me to having several interventions I didn’t plan on. After a few days, I was discharged while our son spent another week in the NICU. It was the support team that surrounded us during pregnancy that carried me through this journey of highs and lows. And although my birth experience did not go according to the plan I originally set, the journey gave me a profound desire to help others in their journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
I enjoy living in Texas with my husband, son, and two dogs. I love coffee, reading, being outdoors, and helping families have the birth they desire!
