As a first time parent the idea of birth was absolutely terrifying. My best friend suggested we hire a doula to help with the process and it was the best thing my husband and I could have done. We knew Lindsay prior to making her our doula, and that connection really helped. She helped challenge all of my fears surrounding the birthing process and labor, she constantly told us that knowledge was power and it really was. The more I learned, with her guidance, the more prepared and less fearful I became. William and I could not have imagined going through this process without Lindsay at our side. She is extremely knowledgeable, she's kind and patient and she does wonders with a heated rice sock.
