With over eight years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in home health care, I bring both clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to my work with families. My own story — being born to a teenage mother — opened my eyes early to the raw and often overwhelming realities of postpartum life. I know what it feels like to be in that vulnerable season, and I also know how transformative it is to have someone present who truly listens, understands, and supports without judgment.

That is why I became a postpartum doula: to be that anchor of steadiness for mothers. My mission is simple but powerful — to ensure every mother feels seen, heard, and cared for during one of the most tender transitions of her life. Too often women are met with silence when they need reassurance the most. I believe no mother should feel alone or ashamed in her journey. Your feelings are valid. You deserve support.

I’m currently pursuing my RN, BSN, and working toward becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). In the meantime, I serve families as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, offering education and hands-on support during the early days of feeding. My heart is to serve all mothers — regardless of background, beliefs, or culture — with dignity, respect, and unwavering care.

Outside of postpartum work, I live in with my incredibly supportive husband and our four beloved dachshunds (who definitely run the show!). I love cooking, keeping our home cozy, and diving into a good book — reading gives me perspective and fuels my passion for growth. My husband and I also share a love for travel and have visited 12 countries together so far!

I feel honored to walk alongside mothers in my community and hope to be a steady presence and pillar of strength as they navigate their unique journey into motherhood.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."

-James 1:12

FUN FACT: One fun fact about me is that I’m passionate about dogs—especially dachshunds! I have four of them, two of whom I’m proud to have rescued. Over the years, I’ve also fostered many dogs, supporting them on their journey to loving forever homes. Much like my work with families, I feel a deep calling to care for the most vulnerable, ensuring they live healthy, happy lives.

Trainings:
DONA Certified Birth Doula Training \ Lactation Basics for Doulas

What was your biggest take away from doula training?

My biggest takeaway from doula training was the deep reminder that every family's journey is unique—and that being fully present and supportive is just as important as offering practical support. I learned that being a doula isn't about having all the answers, but about showing up with empathy, calm, and presence. It’s about earning the trust of a family during such a vulnerable time, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and meeting families exactly where they are in their postpartum experience.

What is the number one thing you use when supporting a family?

The number one thing I rely on when supporting a family is active listening. Every parent and every postpartum experience is different, so really tuning in—without judgment or assumption—helps me understand what each family truly needs in the moment. Whether it’s emotional support, a nap, a warm meal, or simply someone to talk to, listening helps me respond in a way that’s meaningful and personal for them.

Why should a client hire you?

Families should hire me because I bring a calm, grounded presence and a deep respect for each family’s unique needs, values, and rhythms. I understand how vulnerable and transformative the postpartum period can be, and I offer nonjudgmental support that helps parents feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether it’s emotional reassurance, newborn care, feeding guidance, or simply making sure parents can rest—I’m there to nurture the whole family, not just the baby.

My goal is to help families feel more confident, connected, and cared for as they navigate this new chapter.

Number one birth or postpartum book recommendations for a parent, and why?

My number one recommendation for new parents is Mothering the New Mother by Sally Placksin.

It’s a powerful and supportive resource that sheds light on what a mother truly goes through—physically, emotionally, and mentally—during the postpartum period. I encourage not just new moms, but also partners and other caregivers to read it, so they can better understand how to support and care for the mother as she heals, adjusts, and finds her rhythm in this new chapter.
