My journey to becoming a doula began in the most unexpected way. Long before I knew the title existed, I found myself naturally drawn to supporting women during childbirth. I had been present for several friends’ and family members’ births—offering quiet encouragement, helping them breathe through contractions, and creating a calm, reassuring space amid the intensity of labor. After my nephew was born, my sister-in-law looked at me and said, “You would make a great doula.” At the time, I had no idea what that even meant.
That single comment sparked a deep curiosity. I began researching everything I could find—reading articles and birth stories, watching documentaries, and learning about the physical, emotional, and educational support doulas provide. The more I explored, the more I realized I had already been living out the essence of this role without knowing its name.
I found a natural passion in helping provide a safe, loving, and comfortable atmosphere for mommas and their babies. I immediately got my certification and truly believe God has led me to my purpose in life. As I continued studying, I became captivated by the intricacies of birth: the stages of labor, the power of the mind-body connection, and the profound impact of having continuous, compassionate support. I immersed myself in learning about informed consent, comfort measures, advocacy, and the importance of empowering families through education and presence.
My goal in being a Doula is to help—help you feel confident, help you feel safe, help you feel POWERFUL to do what God created you to do! I know there are flaws in the system when it comes to women and childbirth, and that is why being a Doula is so important to me. I want moms and their families to feel heard, important, and seen throughout pregnancy and birth. Pregnancy is one of the hardest things you do in this lifetime, and everyone deserves to feel secure and supported. I believe God has graced me with a gift to do just that!
A little bit about me -I have two big dogs that are my everything, Georgia (pitbull mix) and Paislee (bernadoodle). I love to read, bake, and crochet. My friends and I love to binge our favorite TV shows like The Rookie, Only Murders in the Building, and any romcom movies like the Proposal.
My favorite verse when times are hard is Isaiah 41:10. It says "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

What was your biggest take away from doula training?
The biggest thing I took away from my doula training is how powerful knowledge is to me and my clients. Knowledge in what's happening and what's to come is so important to to help my clients feel powerful in their pregnancy and birth.
What is the number one thing you use when supporting a family?
The number one thing I use while supporting a family is encouragement and knowledge. Both of those things can look different in many ways whether that's words of affirmation, support in positioning, being a calming presence, or helping the whole family understand what is happening.
Why should a client hire you?
As a doula, I believe every pregnancy and baby is a gift from God, and that women should be supported in trusting their bodies to do what they were created to do. My approach is calming, empowering, and hands-on, so you feel cared for and confident throughout your birth journey. I’m trained and passionate about supporting all kinds of birth — medicated, unmedicated, cesarean, home, hospital, and birthing center — and I honor your choices every step of the way. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where you feel fully supported, no matter how your birth unfolds.
Number one book you recommend:
A Mother is Born by Rachael Elmore! It is an excellent recommendation for mothers preparing to welcome their little one because it goes beyond the surface of postpartum advice and dives into the emotional, mental, and spiritual transition that happens when a woman becomes a mother.
