As soon as we found out we were pregnant with baby #2, we knew we wanted labor to go as smoothly as our first baby so hiring Lindsay Laubacher as our doula again was a must. During pregnancy, Lindsay answered questions, coached us on labor positions and stretches which was helpful even as second time parents. During labor, she talked us through when was the right time to head to the hospital in sticking with our birth plan. Our favorite part about Lindsay is how calm and confident she stays the entire labor and delivery. Her presence helps set the tone for the entire room. Lindsay helped coach my husband on how he could be integral member of my birth team. We prayed together and Lindsay shared her faith with me that helped get me through the painful contractions. After my delivery, I hemorrhaged, but Lindsay didn’t leave my side. She helped talk me through a scary situation and even offered emotional support postpartum to process what had happened. Emotional, spiritual, and physical support for pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum are all reasons I chose Lindsay as my doula.
