Birth & Postpartum Doula

Serving Ellis County and the surrounding areas

  • Birth & Postpartum Doula
  • 7 Years of Birth Work

Hi, my name is Amber Freudiger, and I am a Christian Birth and Postpartum Doula serving Ellis County and the surrounding areas. For the past seven years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside families during some of the most meaningful and vulnerable moments of their lives.

My path into doula work began as an early student midwife, where I quickly saw how essential steady, compassionate support is for mothers and families during birth. Witnessing the difference that a strong support system can make sparked a deep calling in me, and that desire has only grown with time. I love being a calm, friendly, and reassuring presence, helping families feel grounded and supported throughout the birth experience.

My heart is especially drawn to birth support, where I can encourage and advocate for mothers as they labor with confidence and peace. I am equally passionate about postpartum care, knowing how crucial those first weeks are for healing, adjustment, and bonding. Being able to support mothers and families during this season, whether through hands-on help or simply offering reassurance, fills my heart in a special way.

God has been incredibly faithful in bringing the most wonderful families into my life through this work, and I truly consider it an honor to serve them. I would love the opportunity to support you through birth, postpartum, or both, and to be a trusted part of your care team during this beautiful season of life.

What was your biggest take away from doula training?

Doula training to me was such a gift. My biggest takeaway from it was that each birth or postpartum mama I serve will birth a new side of me as a doula. Over the years, that has proven to be nothing but so true. The last 7 years have molded me, shaped me, and birthed a whole new doula — confident in her skills while also always striving to be better for her clients.

Why should a client hire you?

I believe a client should hire me because they're led to and feel peace to. I believe the Lord brings my clients to me and therefore I'm able to love them well, care for them effectively, and support them the best I can. I also believe the Lord is intentional with his client/doula matches and that those he brings my way are meant to be there! I can't wait to meet each one of you — or doula again for my beautiful repeats.

What is the number one thing you use when supporting a family?

Listening ears — really hearing my clients' needs and desires from me, and hearing them out if they need to talk or process, or if they need to be prayed with. Listening will take doula work far, for birth and postpartum support.

Number one birth and postpartum book recommendation?

The First Forty Days by Heng Ou and Marisa Belger. I love this book as it captivates nourishing a mother in all the ways the first 40 days postpartum, and why certain things should be that way.

What birth podcast do you recommend for parents?

Pregnancy and Birth Made Easy — birth stories, tips, tricks, advice, and verbal processing through experiences.

One thing you wish you knew when you were pregnant or postpartum?

Well, I haven't had the honor of being pregnant or postpartum yet. But something I've taken away from having friends and family and clients have babies is… it takes a village to get through pregnancy and postpartum. And it's okay to ask for help and to give yourself grace as you are healing and learning your baby too.
